Dusk to Dawn

This will be a VERY short post (no, really) because I am exhausted, it’s 4 AM, and we’ve seen the end of the Shadowbringers expansion at last.

It’s going to take me the rest of the week to come down off this adrenaline rush. Things were far worse and more painful than I expected in places, and yet everything I said about silver linings in my previous post paid off in spades. I’m both flattered to see how many of the things I’ve written fit with the characters and the story being told, and terrified that I managed to get it SO right. I’m a sucker for metaphor and layered plots/people and this has been nothing but from the start.

That’s all I’m going to say for now. The content is so new that I feel like I’d be risking people’s experiences to post a bunch of stuff about it on the Internet this soon after launch . I can tell you this, though.

Raph took some pretty big hits from all of this. None of it was easy or kind. But he will live on, and grow older and wiser from all that he has learned, as is the way of all true heroes.

The silver lining of hope remains.

And I’ll definitely talk more about this once things are a little less raw and new
